Weary climber

Der Chasseur im Walde
Caspar David Friedrich

On a steep mountain slope,
Lone climber struggles to the peak
He's holding to his rope,
But his grip begins to creak.

Strained by its barbed rock
Worn by whips and scorns
His rope now nothing but a stalk
that’s bearing piercing thorns.

Lost and without hope
To conquer this perilous wall
He’s ready to uncoil his rope
And let the abyss take control.

It never was his intention
To leave this world like this
But if this means redemption,
Temptation is too hard to resist.

His life shall be forgotten
His name ceasing to exist
His flesh and bones rotten
Soul dissolved in the mist.

He takes his final breath
Slowly unclenching both fists
But doubting this precipitous death
Does not cease to persist.

He looks up to the stars—
Why not climb out of this deadly pit?
Though he might not move very far
He might move at least a bit.

How much work it took,
Those that are already gone?
How would the world look
If they too, chose not to carry on?

Oasis of peace

Claude Monet
Canal in Amsterdam

Right inside in the middle
Of the oasis of peace
Where even the hardest riddle
Feels like a goodbye with a kiss
In a kaleidoscope of yellow
Sweet bitter tastes of gold
Where every goodbye leads to a new hello
Where you feel young even when you're old.
Here I float without end
In the glow of green serpentines
And every moment here that I spend
Feels like in the middle of my dreams.

Femme Nue

Femme Nue
Pablo Picasso

A young girl with her lover
Are staring at the sky
He turns towards her only to discover
a tear in the corner of her eye

He doesn't interrupt its flow
Watching it slowly trickle down her cheek
There is something she wants him to know
But right now, she simply cannot speak

He can feel her heart pulsing stronger
More violent with every beat
How much longer will she remain silent
Before heart rushes her to speak?

They keep still like an open ocean
Unaware of everything but the other's gaze
They may be lying there without motion
But their hearts are in a constant race

It takes all her strength to talk
But finally she utters this one word
It comes crushing down on him like a falling rock
Even though it barely can be heard

He tenderly wipes her lonesome tear
That still lingers on
He knows her memory will stay near
Long after she is gone.

Bez tytułu #2

Chcę zatrzymać ten moment
Kiedy patrzę na Ciebie
Ale ten moment ucieka
Jak oka mgnienie.
Jak zatrzymać ten czas?
Chociaż na chwilę!
Tego co w nas
Nie pozostawić w tyle.
Ile bym dał
by posiąść tę siłę
By zanim wyruszę przed siebie
Móc, w chwili gdy patrzę na Ciebie
Wstrzymać Słońce od wschodu
Unieruchomić gwiazdy na niebie!
Boże, nie chcę umierać za młodu.

Planet of the Apes

What makes them believe
That money can solve
What their hearts could not conceive
Will they ever evolve?
Stop being so naive.
This apelike mentality
Is harassing me
I really cannot see
A trace of rationality
In this senseless anarchy.
Someone please explain to me
Why would anybody
Waste their time and energy
On looting and polluting
Their own community?

Egress into the unknown

A Huguenot on St. Bartholomew's Day
John Everett Millais

These days I feel like a soldier,
Fighting in a war.
Every day is getting longer,
Just waiting for you to knock on my door.
But every day I’m growing stronger
and less afraid of pain.
I know the day is coming,
When we will meet again.

False Mirror

Specchio Falso
René Magritte

I want to start from scratch
And build this house anew
Let go of my anxious clutch
On things I wasn’t cast to do

But every time I get near
To shifting to a new course
My heart is paralysed by fear
Of failure and remorse

I will not fall for this decoy
And will escape this bitter fate
I know I will have to destroy
In order to create.

A walk to paradise garden

A walk to Paradise Garden
W. Eugene Smith

If we could go together
To places that are yet unknown,
Would you ask me whether
We would be back by dawn?

Or would you go wherever,
Just so we can go!
Not looking at the time, the date, the weather,
Or what we left at home.

Let's dream of what we can find if we go further
Forget about what is unknown!
Let's walk on this road together,
I promise you will never be alone.

Never too late

Time is a runner in disguise
Why else would it run so fast
That before you realise
Another year has passed?

This ceaseless run can scare
Make you feel afraid to move
Survival of the fittest isn't fair
You loose if you don't improve.

To achieve your innermost dreams
You'll have to conquer mind and body aches
Keep on running and you'll win
Remember: it never is too late!

Bez tytułu

Krzyczę glośniej niż ryk lwa
Byleby zagłuszyć myśli o niej
Tylko że ta myśl wciąż trwa...
Kiedy wreszcie przestanie!?
Kiedy krew zasklepi się na mego serca ranie?
Gdzie odnaleźć ukojenie?
Jak ujarzmić ten huragan we mnie?
Jak powrócić na mój szlak
Muszę się dowiedzieć.
Tak mi jej brak.

Meaning of freedom

Riding my bike
A pigeon was flying by
Right by my side
He got me feeling like
I too was flying high.
Flying stands for freedom,
But what does freedom really mean?
This question's like a demon
That's always chasing me.
Trying to tie my wrists,
Trying tying my feet
But I keep on clutching my fists,
Keep on extending my leap.
Refusing to loose my beliefs,
As long as I breathe
I will always be me.

Way to go

Giardino Autunnale
Vincent van Gogh

I jumped into a river,
How do I get out?
I thought it'd cool my fever,
It only filled my heart with doubt.

I ran into a forrest,
Don't ask me where I'll go.
It'd be hard to give an answer that is honest,
I simply wouldn't know.

Where to go in life is seldom clear,
There's a lot to think about.
But trust me, one day you WILL get near!
Just keep on following your route.
